Firefighters battling house fire in Navarre

NAVARRE — A local pastor’s home on Heritage Circle was destroyed in a fire early Thursday afternoon. Ken Rousseau, a pastor at First Baptist Church of Navarre, got a call from his wife just after 11:30 a.m. to say a fire had broken out in the garage. The blaze spread to the eaves of the house in a matter of minutes, he said. “It’s amazing how fast it burned,” Rousseau said as he watched dozens of firefighters run in and out of his home.
